The Intel Score (0–100) is a composite metric across four dimensions:

Regulatory health	Licence quality, active enforcement risk, jurisdiction coverage. Max 35 pts.
Hiring velocity	Volume and quality of new job postings vs. prior 30 days. Max 25 pts.
Product momentum	Number and significance of new product launches, integrations, partnerships. Max 25 pts.
Threat exposure	Active hacks, regulatory probes, leadership instability. Negative modifier up to −30 pts.

A score of 80+ means the exchange is licensed, growing, and low risk. 50–79 means it's active but warrants watching. Below 50 indicates elevated risk.

Licensed	Holds at least one major regulated licence — SEC, MiCA, FCA, FSA (Japan), CFTC, or NYDFS. These are the highest-trust venues.
Stable	Operationally solid. May hold partial licences or be in the process of obtaining them. No active regulatory threats.
Watch	Unregulated or operating in regulatory grey zones. May have unresolved AML issues or be a known enforcement target. Use with caution.
Risk	Facing active regulatory action, recovering from a major security breach, or showing structural instability signals from hiring data.
Critical	Existential threat. Forced restructuring, active criminal investigation, or platform integrity at risk. Score below 30.

We poll ATS (Applicant Tracking System) platforms every 60 minutes — Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby APIs give us direct access to job postings from major exchanges. Each new posting is classified by department, seniority, and location, then cross-referenced against prior 30-day baseline to surface velocity changes. A compliance role surge in a new city is a different signal from a security role surge after a hack. Context matters, and our classifiers are tuned for it.

Predictions are generated by clustering job signal patterns against historical exchange behaviour. When Coinbase hires 6 EU compliance lawyers in 14 days, and 12 months ago Kraken hired 5 EU compliance lawyers before launching xStocks — that's a pattern match. Confidence scores reflect how strongly the current hiring cluster resembles confirmed past precedents. A 70%+ confidence means the signal pattern has historically led to the predicted outcome ~70% of the time within the stated horizon.

The scraper runs every 60 minutes via GitHub Actions. Each run polls all tracked ATS platforms, upserts new listings, marks removed listings as inactive, and recalculates exchange scores. The dashboard auto-refreshes every 10 minutes while open.
