OKX Signal Score 95: What It Means
95/100 is the highest signal score in our dataset. Here is the precise interpretation.
The Score Decomposition
Volume (40% weight): 446 roles → 38/40 pts. Velocity (30% weight): +2 pts WoW, 14-month build → 26/30 pts. Composition (20% weight): 89 PMs + 78 L2 engineers → 19/20 pts. Concentration (10% weight): 20% product concentration → 9/10 pts. Total: 92/100 base + 3 bonus pts for streak duration = 95/100.
What 95 Has Never Meant Before
We have never seen 95 before. The previous record was 93 (our own OKX measurement, briefly, in Q3 2024). This is new territory. But the pattern at 85+ is consistent: 7 for 7 on announcements.
The Streak Factor
6 weeks above 90 is also unprecedented. Prior streaks at 90+ have lasted 2–4 weeks before the announcement resolved the signal. 6 weeks suggests either: (1) the build is larger than anything we have tracked (consistent with the role count), or (2) the announcement is being prepared very carefully (consistent with a mainnet launch, not just a product update).
Our Best Guess at What Is Coming
The combination of L2 engineers + product scale + streak duration points to a mainnet chain launch, not just a wallet update. OKX Chain going live would be the largest exchange-backed L2 launch in history.
