This is an emerging signal category for us — we started tracking CBDC-specific roles in Q3 2025. The hiring is still small but concentrated in interesting places.
Coinbase: 5 roles with explicit CBDC mentions or "digital currency integration" language. The most specific CBDC investment we track.
Binance: 4 roles. "Digital currency policy" and "CBDC partnership" role titles.
OKX: 3 roles. APAC-focused CBDC integration (aligned with China's digital yuan rollout and other APAC CBDC programs).
What This Predicts
CBDC-specific hiring is too early to generate high-confidence predictions. But the signals exist — and as CBDC launches accelerate globally in 2026-2027, exchanges with existing integration capabilities will have a first-mover advantage.
